So during Sandy there wasn’t much beauty stuff going on around my place. We were barely showering with the lack of water, and then the lack of warm water, let alone caring about what my makeup looked like. I was however, able to paint my nails, which is something I don’t get to do nearly as much as I’d like to.

There’s something just so gratifying about having the time to relax, and take a moment to paint your nails neatly without being rushed. I took advantage of being stuck at home to crack open my new bottle of OPI Samoan Sand. I was hoping for an opaque nude color, but it turned out to be a bit too sheer and on the pink side. I applied 4 coats and it still was pretty blah. So while this would be a good base for a french manicure, not something I’d choose to standalone, as I probably could’ve used a clear polish and nobody would’ve know the difference!
Are there any awesome nude polishes out there that I should give a try?
