Review – Stila Tinted Moisturizer

Hi there! I haven’t reviewed any new products in a while, so figured I’d test something new out these past few days. The item in question is Stila’s Tinted moisturizer in tan.

stila tinted moisturizer – tan

While I’m usually not a big fan of tinted moisturizer (it covers so little yet costs as much as a full coverage foundation!), this happened to be the wrong color for my sister and she kindly handed it over to me. Who am I to turn down free makeup? 🙂 The tan color was a touch darker than my natural skin tone, but I liked how it brightened and warmed up my face. I liked that it visibly helped to even me out without giving a makeup-y look. Being oil-free, it definitely kept my face looking good, and the added benefit of SPF20 was a bonus. Having the expiration date printed on the back was also a cool feature. The coverage was on the lower size, but enough to go to the office or out to run errands. Below, you’ll see me bearing my naked faced to do a side by side comparison of my skin without makeup vs with the tinted moisturizer. I tried my best to keep the lighting as consistent as possible!

Again, while it’s no foundation, it was good enough for me. It diminished the appearance of the circles under my eyes, as well as the redness in my face. I tested the products for 4 days in a row, and found that whether the weather was dry or my face was sweaty, it wore pretty much the same. While I’m not a fan of tinted moisturizers, I’m really happy to have this for my everyday look! If you’re on the market for one, definitely give this a try! You can try it out at Sephora where  it retails for $34. Check out the rest of the products I used and my completed look! (Though I forgot to apply lipgloss 😦 )

Have you tried this product out before? Let me know what you think of it. Have any other recommendations for tinted moisturizers? I’d love to know!
