Haven’t done one of these in a while!

As of this week, we are officially in Fall! We all know one of the hottest makeup trends for the season is dark lips. So for today’s TGIF tip, I want to share some tips on how to prolong that dark color on your pout.

1) Combat the dryness associated with this season by exfoliating your lips. Rough lip texture is especially accentuated by deep colors. (For how to exfoliate your lips, see my post on that here.)

2) Fill in your lip entirely (not just outline!) with a lip pencil similar to the shade of the lipstick.

3) Use a lip brush to apply the lipstick. With such a deep color, you really want the lipstick applied as perfectly as possible. A brush will lend you much more precision than using it straight out of the tube.

4) Apply concealer, reverse lip liner, or powder (with a lip brush) around the edges of the mouth to prevent it from moving anywhere.
