It’s 11/12/13! & some great holiday palettes

So today is 11/12/13. Awesome sequential date, right? All though there is nothing significant about this date, its sequentialness makes it unique.  There will only be one more sequential date in this century, occurring next year on 12/13/14.

Meanwhile, the next big date of significance would be Christmas! For those who celebrate, let the countdown begin – only 42 shopping days to go. I know some people wait until Black Friday to start their holiday shopping (while we’re counting down, there’s only 17 days till that), but there are so many great gift sets available right now to give all the beauties on your shopping lists. The best thing is they’re such a great value, you don’t even have to wait for Black Friday to score some great deals.

For the lipgloss junkie $28:

Stila packaged set of 3 lip glaze trios $28

Whether you are gifting this to one person, or break it apart for 3 (separately packaged) stocking stuffers, this is  such a great deal. You get 9 almost full-sized glosses for $28, while one alone sells for $22! I might pick this up for future gifting. The fact that these come with 3 separately boxed trios, they will be great for breaking apart to have as an add-on for future gifts. This is available at Sephora.

For the makeup newbie $39:

3 eye & cheek palettes for $39

Another great set from Stila, this is ideal for someone new to makeup or just doesn’t like to fuss too much with it. This set of expertly coordinated eye and cheek colors  takes the guess work out of whether your blush goes with your eyeshadow. I love that they are 3 smaller palettes instead of one big one, great for on the go! This is available at Sephora.

For the eye makeup maven $49:

Eye & Cheek palette for $49

Great for someone who loves experimenting with different eyeshadows. If you’re familiar with Smashbox’s eyeshadows, you know they are buttery and velvety smooth. This insane palette offers a vast spectrum of 30 (yes 30!!) matte and metallic shades, as well as 3 blushes and a bronzer. I have loved every Smashbox shadow and blush I’ve ever used, so I may have to pick this up for myself. It is an Ulta exclusive, and qualifies for free shipping!

For the traveler $59:

The whole lot for $59

The awesome travel bag

The 20 shadow palette alone warrants the $59 price tag, but there’s so much more! It basically comes with everything you need for a full makeup look (including skincare and the acclaimed amazonian clay blush). Don’t forget to pack your own foundation and brushes into the travel bag and you are good to go! I LOVE this style travel bag, as I have a Sephora brand one I currently use myself. The hook on top makes for awesome hanging, and love that you can easily see all your makeup in one glance. This can be picked up at Sephora.

For the Sephora Junkie $75:

$75 for 12 of Sephora’s best-selling (9 that are FULL-SIZED) products

Folks, these are not sample sized products. (Well okay, some of them are.) 9 out of 12 of these are full-sized! So if you’ve ever been interested in trying at least 2 of these products, it basically pays to buy the whole set. I currently use and love the Smashbox BB cream, Nars Orgasm blush & Laguna bronzer and Urban Decay shadow in Sin. Whether it’s a cost effective way for you to buy products you already love, or a gift to be given to someone else, this is an insane value for (mostly) full-sized products that are among Sephora’s best-sellers. Obviously, this is a Sephora exclusive.

Even if you don’t have any holiday shopping to do, the holidays are when the best makeup sets come out! (I know it’s the only time MAC even offers sets.) These are some of the palettes that have caught my eye this season, and are such great values for the price! Are there any palettes that you have been eyeing or love that I didn’t mention? I’d love to know!
