Urban Decay Freebies at Macy’s – GWP

So I was shopping at Macy’s yesterday, and headed over to check out the holiday makeup sets. Beauty companies come out with the greatest sets this time of year, so I love to buy now and keep them on hand for gifting in the near future. I see more and more Macy’s carry Urban Decay cosmetics, but the one at Macy’s Herald Square has such a great set up, it’s like a mini Urban Decay store!

I picked up some gifts and was so pleasantly surprised to get the most awesome gift with purchase:

It includes a FULL sized eye primer potion, mini all-nighter makeup setting spray, mini lip pencil, and a sample of their BB cream. Isn’t it like the best gift with purchase ever?!

The full sized eye primer potion is insane because it’s FULL SIZED and a personal makeup staple. I’ve purchased and repurchased the primer (in original, Sin, Eden, Gilt.. you name it) countless times over the year both for myself and my makeup kit. There is basically no point in wearing eyeshadow without it, because on my grease-ball eyelids shadow creases within an hour. This sells for $20 so I would have been a happy camper only walking away with this as my free gift with purchase.

While my makeup setting spray of choice is Urban’s Deslick, ain’t no complaints of getting this awesome travel friendly version of the all-nighter. I love how long wearing  my makeup becomes after using setting sprays, as well as how it takes away that cakey look if you’ve gone overboard with the face makeup. But, I never ever take it when I travel because the bottle is just too big to carry with you places, let alone on board a plane. Not a problem anymore! So excited to take with me on my trip to California this weekend. This bottle is .5 oz while their full sized 4 oz retails for $29. There is also a travel-sized 1 oz sold for $14.

The lip pencil in nude couldn’t have come to me at a better time, as I just finished my Smashbox pencil which is a very similar color. It’s so neutral and similar to my natural lip color, I know it will work with most lip colors. I’ve never actually tried Urban’s glide-on lip pencil, but have used their glide-on eye pencil. If the glide-on’s have any similarity in formula, then I’m hoping this will be smooth, creamy and long wearing. At .03 oz this is a pretty decent size! It’s  3/4 the size of the .04 oz full sized product which is sells for $19.

I’ll have to do a post on the included BB cream when I get around to using it. It is called the Naked Skin Beauty Balm , and they’ve given a pretty nice sized sample of this. It is .12 oz while the full sized one is 1.18 oz and retails for $34. They went to the trouble of including a little fold over info card with it. Aside from its multiple skincare benefits, its light diffusing properties are supposed to make you look ‘professionally retouched’. Well who doesn’t want that! I can’t wait to try it out.

Last but not least, let’s not forget about the TSA approved makeup bag. It has a really nice rubbery, matte feel to it. I’ve had one of these before and loved it. Perfect size for fitting your carry-on liquid makeup items and a great alternative to the classy ziploc bag.

This free gift with purchase is available with any $75 Urban Decay purchase. It is one of 2 gifts available – the other gift included a full sized black 24/7 pencil, mini B6 makeup setting spray and mini eye primer potion. Wasn’t my gift totally the better choice?! In case you need to stock up on some of your Urban essentials or pick up a few gifts, get over to Macy’s! The gifts with purchase are in limited quantity!
